The dentist will make a custom tray that precisely fits your teeth in the dental office. Drug store trays allow too much of the tooth whitening material to go down your throat because the trays do not fit your teeth very well. A custom tray made just to the gumline will last you for many years and provide the best whitening and the safest tooth whitening possible. Do not fall for the TV whitening materials. They do not tell you what is in the product and the trays can push your gums down causing problems.

The "universal trays" cause too much material to go down your throat because they do not fit your mouth. The TV whitening advertisements also want you to continue buying the whitening materials every month automatically on your credit card. Very tricky. They are not cheaper long term. Cheap trays and swallowing a lot of whitening materials could be damaging to your health. It is worth the effort to go to the best dentist you can find and get top quality care.
