A deep overbite forced this patient's jaw to be held in a receded position causing pursing of his lips. This young patient was treated during his "growth spurt" with orthopedic appliances and orthodontic braces. His lower jaw was repositioned, without surgery, in approximately two years. Minor cosmetic bonding was used to give him a more masculine smile. Although completed in 1985, these changes remained stable during the subsequent growth of the patient. He continues to benefit from the positive change in his appearance.
