Laser Dentistry

Lasers in dentistry are still in it's infancy. We are getting closer to replacing the dental drill but the dental drill is still superior to anything a laser can do to the hard surfaces of your teeth and removing the old silver fillings and crowns.

Lasers are great for gum surgery however, you still need to smooth the teeth with scalars, use a scalpel and use stitches unless it is a very minor surgical procedure.

Lasers are not the magic wand that all of us would like to see but are improving the art of dentistry every year. Lasers are used for teeth whitening but it is best if combined with a home whitening system. High tech dentistry is getting better everyday. Lasers can also harden dental materials during dental tooth bonding.
